Executive Chef Libry Darusman was born in Bogor, Indonesia, and grew up throughout Europe. His early cultural education exposed him to various cuisines, cultures, and influences. Upon completing training with the California Art Institute in Orange County, Chef Libry continued his experience with celebrated Chef Theo Schoenegger of the Sinatra’s Restaurant, in Las Vegas. Following his time in Las Vegas, Chef Libry moved to Los Angeles, where he worked under Chef Mark Gold of Eva Restaurant. From here, Chef joined Room Forty, also in LA, where he crafted dinners for notable events such as the Emmys, the Golden Globes, and conducted private tasting dinners for numerous dignitaries, including President Bill Clinton. Chef Libry now serves as the Executive Chef of Barcelona Wine Bar in RiNo. His ever-changing menu reflects his multicultural upbringing and his admiration for Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine.
