Executive Chef Javier Narvaez, who opened our Wynwood restaurant and earned recognition from The Infatuation’s Best Restaurants in Wynwood, now brings that same expertise and vision to his opening menu in Delray Beach. With roots deeply embedded in the Ecuadorian and Puerto Rican flavors that filled his family’s kitchen, his culinary journey began under the influence of his uncle, a chef himself. This early education resulted in Chef Javier pursuing formal culinary training in New York City, embedding in him diverse culinary influences from neighborhoods like Chinatown and Little Italy. Before joining Barcelona Wine Bar, Chef Javier served as the long-time executive chef for Miami’s Pisco e Nazca. At the core of his extensive career, is a reverence for local ingredients, farmers, and producers– resulting in menus that are seasonally influenced and locally motivated. As the Executive Chef of Barcelona Wine Bar, Chef Javier’s menu is a culmination of incredibly diverse techniques presented through the lens of Spanish cuisine.
