R LOPEZ DE HEREDIA

One of the oldest wineries in Rioja, right next door to La Rioja Alta in Haro. This is an absolute must to visit, as they produce some of the longest aged wines in all of Spain (even their whites and rosés!) and haven’t changed the decor or wiped the mold from the walls in over 100 years. Like stepping back in time. Appointments are required, but easy to get.

RAMON BILBAO

Also one of the oldest in Rioja and located in Haro (with all the other most historic producers). Makes more modern and intense wines now, with a spectacular facility for aging.
